Kevin Clifton: Solo Night Out and New Look

Kevin Clifton, the former Strictly star, made a rare solo public appearance on Thursday evening. He debuted a fuller head of hair, quite a change from his recent shaved look.

A Night at the Theatre

The 41-year-old dancer stepped out for the West End opening night of the National Theatre’s production of Dear England. The venue was Prince Edward Theatre in London. The thicker mop of hair was quite noticeable after Kevin Clifton had shaved his head just weeks ago. His girlfriend Stacey Dooley and their daughter Minnie were missing from this outing.

The couple first met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 where they were paired up and eventually won the show.

Kevin Clifton, From Shaved Head to Full Hair

Back in August, Kevin Clifton was seen sporting a new look while grocery shopping with Stacey. His low-maintenance style was quite different from his usual longer hairdo but it did reveal some unfortunate hair loss as they picked up their groceries.

For that day out, Kevin kept it casual in a grey sweater and matching joggers while holding hands with Stacey who seemed engrossed in her mobile phone.

Stacey, 36-year-old TV personality, chose to wear a loose-fitting sweater with matching shorts and lemon yellow running shoes during this public appearance.

Marriage? Not so Important!

Despite welcoming their daughter Minnie earlier this year (in January), Stacey recently admitted that marrying Kevin Clifton isn’t high on her priority list.

She will offer some insight into her family life and challenges faced while adjusting to parenthood in an episode of “Stacey Sleeps Over.” She refers to motherhood as her ‘hardest gig ever,’ which has led them to decide against having another baby while they are still figuring out parenting.

In an interview with The Sun she shared: ‘Marriage has never been massively important to me…But I couldn’t have done this (motherhood) without Kev.’

Challenges of Parenthood

In this raw documentary-style episode, Stacey reflects on whether she’d like another child while still grappling with newborn parenting challenges like hormonal changes and sleep deprivation.

She humorously added: ‘I don’t know how people have four children. I’ve had one and am completely failing.’

The transition into parenthood hasn’t been all smooth sailing for the couple as viewers will discover when watching the documentary episode.

Kevin Clifton Focusing on Fatherhood

Back in June, Kevin Clifton announced he would take a break from work after completing the Strictly Ballroom tour to focus solely on caring for baby Minnie.

He told Digital Spy about his back-to-back non-stop work schedule since COVID restrictions eased: ‘So, for the rest of this year I’ve decided I’m going to take a break from all performing work just to be a dad…my plan is to take a break as soon as this contract finishes.
